Ironchip closed a 1.5 million euro funding round led by Sabadell Venture Capital to accelerate international expansion and continue developing its location-based authentication technology.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Ironchip, a Barakaldo-based cybersecurity company founded in 2017, received backing from Sabadell Venture Capital, Inveready, Easo Ventures, Abanca, and CDTI. CEO Julen Martínez Higuero leads the company.
WHY IT MATTERS
Ironchip's technology uses electromagnetic signals to authenticate users based on location, eliminating password dependency and protecting over 5 million users across finance, industry, and public administration. The funding enables the company to scale globally as location-based authentication becomes critical to digital security.
