WHAT HAPPENED
Palo Alto Networks completed its acquisition of Console on September 1. The company plans to integrate Console's AI-native platform into Cortex to automate security operations workflows including investigation, prioritization, and remediation.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Palo Alto Networks acquired Console, an AI platform founded by Andrei Serban. The deal puts Palo Alto Networks in direct competition with CrowdStrike, Microsoft, and other vendors building autonomous security operations capabilities.
WHY IT MATTERS
Security teams identify threats faster than they can investigate and resolve them. Console enables users to express operational goals in natural language and assigns software agents to analyze data and take action, moving Cortex beyond recommendations toward autonomous decision-making in enterprise security operations.
