WHAT HAPPENED
Spin.AI acquired DoControl, an Israeli cybersecurity company, to combine their platforms into a single SaaS and AI security offering. The combined entity now covers five layers of risk including access governance, data loss prevention, posture management, browser security, and ransomware resilience.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Spin.AI, which protects more than 2,000 organizations and has evaluated over 550,000 browser extensions, acquired DoControl. Dmitry Dontov leads Spin.AI as chief executive officer, while Omri Weinberg is co-founder and chief executive officer of DoControl. K1 Investment Management backed the deal after investing in Spin.AI in March 2026.
WHY IT MATTERS
Buyers increasingly prefer single vendors covering data, identity, and posture rather than assembling multiple point tools. DoControl's research shows automated systems now generate most activity on platforms like SharePoint and OneDrive, making non-human identity a fast-emerging risk that the combined company is positioned to address.
