About Pulse Secure
At a glance
Pulse Secure is a cybersecurity company specializing in Network Security, founded in 2014 and headquartered in San Jose, United States. It was acquired by Ivanti in 2020.
Pulse Secure was a secure access solutions company formed in 2014 when Siris Capital acquired the Junos Pulse business unit from Juniper Networks. The company focused on enabling secure, seamless access to corporate applications for mobile and remote workforces across on-premises and cloud environments. Its core product portfolio included: Pulse Connect Secure, a SSL VPN solution for remote access; Pulse Policy Secure, a network access control (NAC) product; Pulse Zero Trust Access (PZTA), a zero trust network access solution; and the Pulse Secure Access Client, a unified endpoint client for managing secure connections. In 2015, the company launched Pulse One, a centralized policy management platform for securing access across endpoints and mobile devices. In 2014, Pulse Secure also acquired MobileSpaces, a mobile security provider, to expand its capabilities in the mobile security space. Pulse Secure's solutions targeted enterprise organizations seeking to manage secure access for distributed workforces using a variety of devices and networks. The platform supported both on-premises and cloud-based deployments. On December 1, 2020, Pulse Secure was acquired by Ivanti. Following the acquisition, all Pulse Secure products were rebranded under the Ivanti product line: Pulse Connect Secure became Ivanti Connect Secure, Pulse Policy Secure became Ivanti Policy Secure, Pulse Zero Trust Access became Ivanti Neurons for Zero Trust Access, and the Pulse Secure Access Client became the Ivanti Secure Access Client. The pulsesecure.net domain now redirects to Ivanti's website.
