Capsule Security Builds "AI Circuit Breaker" for Rogue Agents with NVIDIA Nemotron
Published 2 September 2026
WHAT HAPPENED
Capsule Security launched an AI circuit breaker built on NVIDIA Nemotron small language models that stops rogue AI agents before they execute harmful actions. The system achieved 98% accuracy on the StepShield benchmark and can make decisions in as little as 71 milliseconds.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Capsule Security developed the technology with support from NVIDIA Nemotron models. Enterprise customers include financial institutions and technology companies such as H&R Block, and Capsule is a security partner in Anthropic's Claude Security Program and was selected for Google's Gemini Startup Forum: Cybersecurity.
WHY IT MATTERS
AI agents can now reason and take consequential actions autonomously, creating new security risks that traditional permissions and post-incident monitoring cannot prevent. Capsule's runtime intervention layer lets organizations allow, flag, or block agent actions in real time before damage occurs, protecting billions of tokens across millions of agent interactions.
