WHAT HAPPENED
Cymphony raised $25 million in Series A funding co-led by Sequoia Capital and SMBC Fin Atlas Beyond Fund, valuing the startup at more than $100 million. The New York- and Tel Aviv-based security company has built a platform that tracks identity, data, and activity for employees, AI agents, and other nonhuman entities across enterprises.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Cymphony co-founders Shy Dekel, Idan Berkovits, and Edi Gotlieb secured backing from Sequoia Capital and SMBC Fin Atlas Beyond Fund. Enterprise customers include KKR, Syngenta, Cass Information Systems, and Athennian.
WHY IT MATTERS
AI agents now access sensitive corporate data and systems at machine speed but operate outside traditional employee access controls, creating security gaps. Cymphony addresses this risk by giving security teams visibility into what data AI agents can reach, helping enterprises like one U.S. public company discover 85,000 files incorrectly exposed to AI tools.
