Databricks Partners with Decagon to Bring Governed Enterprise Context to AI Agents
Published 2 October 2026
WHAT HAPPENED
Databricks partnered with Decagon to integrate enterprise data access into AI agents. The partnership uses zero-copy OpenSharing technology to let Decagon agents pull customer data from Databricks in real time, with conversation insights flowing back into the Databricks platform.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Databricks and Decagon are the two companies in the partnership. Databricks Co-founder and Chief Architect Reynold Xin and Decagon Co-founder and CEO Jesse Zhang discussed the partnership at Databricks' Executive Forum.
WHY IT MATTERS
AI agents need access to current, governed data to be effective in customer conversations. This partnership addresses that by allowing agents to retrieve relevant enterprise context without duplicating sensitive data across systems.
