WHAT HAPPENED
Eye Security tested OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra and OpenAI Daybreak models for cybersecurity applications. The company's security researchers used these models over the summer to find and report zero-day vulnerabilities to major software vendors in their customers' supply chains.

Eye Security partnered with OpenAI to evaluate GPT-6 Astra and OpenAI Daybreak. Piet Kerkhofs, who posted about the testing, compared OpenAI's capabilities favorably to those of Anthropic for cybersecurity use.
