Hadrian Joins Prometheus: Dutch Public-Private Initiative for AI-Driven Cybersecurity

WHAT HAPPENED
Hadrian joined Prometheus, a Dutch public-private initiative launched by Digital Holland to counter AI-driven cyber threats. The partnership involves twelve leading organizations including TNO, ESET, AISLE, Hadrian, SIG, Northwave, Schuberg Philis, DIVD, NS, NCSC, NCTV, and VUSec, with an initial pilot focusing on AI-driven software security to identify and fix vulnerabilities faster than attackers can exploit them.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Twelve organizations across industry, government, and academia are participating: cybersecurity firms ESET, Hadrian, Northwave, and SIG; critical infrastructure operator NS; government agencies NCSC and NCTV; research institutions TNO and VU Amsterdam; and consulting firms Schuberg Philis, AISLE, and DIVD, coordinated under Digital Holland.
WHY IT MATTERS
Autonomous AI-powered attacks emerged in summer 2026, with one ransomware variant targeting AI models and training data at costs of hundreds of thousands of dollars to replace. Critical infrastructure operators cannot keep pace with machine-speed attacks alone, making collective defense essential to protect entire supply chains where a single vulnerable vendor can compromise hundreds of organizations across vital sectors.
