WHAT HAPPENED
Blackstone led a $27 million funding round into Huskeys, an Israeli cybersecurity startup founded in 2025. The round values the company at approximately $100 million and included investors from Skinos Ventures, Zscaler, Okta Ventures, and Merlin Ventures.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Huskeys was founded by Itai Gafni (CEO) and Roy Weisfeld (CTO), both former IDF Unit 8200 intelligence officers. Blackstone, which manages over $1.3 trillion in assets, led the investment alongside prominent Israeli cybersecurity entrepreneur Shlomo Kramer and others.
WHY IT MATTERS
Huskeys builds a platform to protect businesses from malicious automated web traffic generated by AI agents and autonomous systems. The startup addresses a growing security gap as traditional web application firewalls, designed 30 years ago for human internet usage, struggle to distinguish legitimate AI agents from malicious activity.
