WHAT HAPPENED
Lasso Security launched LEAP, an AI guardrail that runs on standard server processors without graphics chips, and raised $30 million in funding led by ClearSky Advisors. The product returns a security verdict in under five milliseconds and processes thousands of times more requests than existing guardrails.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Lasso Security, founded in 2023 by Elad Schulman and Ophir Dror, deployed LEAP with customers including BMW, eToro, Fiverr, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Investors in this round included Entrée Capital, iAngels, Singtel Innov8, Mindset, and Swish Data.
WHY IT MATTERS
Most enterprises skip AI request inspection because guardrails require expensive graphics processing units, leaving their systems vulnerable. LEAP's CPU-only design and speed make security inspection economically feasible for enterprises handling millions of AI prompts and actions each month.
