WHAT HAPPENED
NetSPI and Synack announced a definitive agreement to merge and form a combined offensive cybersecurity platform. The transaction is expected to close in October 2026, with KKR supporting the combined company's growth plan.
WHO IS INVOLVED
NetSPI, a penetration testing leader founded in 2001, and Synack, a continuous security validation platform, are merging. The combined company will serve over 200 million dollars in revenue across clients including top U.S. banks, Fortune 100 companies, MAMAA companies, and U.S. federal agencies.
WHY IT MATTERS
The merger combines two companies with nearly 40 years of operating history and 13 million hours of offensive testing experience. By integrating agentic AI with human expertise, the combined platform aims to deliver more sophisticated security testing at enterprise scale to address increasingly sophisticated cybersecurity threats.
