WHAT HAPPENED
Palo Alto Networks announced Unit 42 Managed Agentic Endpoint Security, a service that combines its Cortex AES endpoint security platform with 24/7 expert support from Unit 42 threat analysts. The service provides AI governance, threat hunting, investigation and response capabilities designed for organizations deploying AI agents and autonomous tools.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Palo Alto Networks is offering the service to enterprise organizations adopting AI tools. It can be deployed alongside existing endpoint security solutions or integrated with Cortex XDR One, which combines endpoint detection and response with AI-native security on a single sensor and console.
WHY IT MATTERS
Only 6% of organizations have an advanced AI security strategy, while sophisticated attacks can move from initial access to data theft in 72 minutes. As AI agents increasingly access sensitive data and execute commands from endpoints, traditional security models lack visibility and governance, making managed expert support critical for organizations to adopt AI safely.
