Blackwall Raises $100M at $2.2B Valuation to Scale Its Global Web Traffic Management Platform for the Hosting Market
Published 23 October 2026
WHAT HAPPENED
Blackwall raised $100 million in a C Round at a $2.2 billion valuation. AVP led the round, joined by existing investors Dawn Capital, MMC Ventures and Tera Ventures. The funding makes Blackwall Europe's most valuable cybersecurity scaleup to date.
WHAT THE COMPANY DOES
Blackwall builds a web traffic management platform deployed inside web hosting providers' infrastructure. The company filters billions of requests per day, identifying real visitors and legitimate automated traffic while blocking malicious bots, attacks and traffic abuse. Its platform spans bot mitigation, DDoS protection, web application firewall, load balancing, server-side encryption and management of agentic AI traffic.
WHO INVESTED
AVP led the round. Existing investors in the round were Dawn Capital, MMC Ventures and Tera Ventures.
WHAT THE MONEY IS FOR
Blackwall will use the investment to expand its global presence across 12 strategic regions spanning North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. The funding will also expand the platform with new traffic security capabilities for the hosting market, enabling hosting, cloud and managed service providers to address a broader range of traffic management needs.
WHY IT MATTERS
Web hosting is a $200 billion fragmented market where infrastructure providers are often the only route to websites at scale. As automated agents take over more internet traffic, Blackwall's position sitting inside millions of websites' infrastructure becomes critical for protecting against new threats. The company strengthens provider economics by cutting unwanted traffic costs and enabling providers to package and monetize security features as their own products.
How it compares
