Daytona raises $60M at $1B valuation backed by FirstMark and a who's who of angels
Published 24 October 2026
WHAT HAPPENED
Daytona Platforms announced a $60 million Series B round led by FirstMark Growth at a $1 billion valuation. The New York-based startup has now raised $91 million total, with FirstMark also having led its $24 million Series A in February.
WHAT THE COMPANY DOES
Daytona builds a cloud platform designed specifically for long-running agents. The platform provides agents with sandboxed versions of Linux, Windows, macOS, and GPUs on a single platform, treating agent infrastructure differently from traditional long-lived cloud services.
WHO INVESTED
FirstMark Growth led the round. Angel investors include Patrick Collison from Stripe, Tobi Lütke from Shopify, Aravind Srinivas from Perplexity, Eric Yuan from Zoom, Olivier Pomel from Datadog, Adam D'Angelo from Quora and OpenAI's board, and Brendan Foody from Mercor. Institutional investors participating include Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Next, and Okta Ventures.
WHY IT MATTERS
Daytona addresses infrastructure needs that differ from traditional cloud platforms. Agents spin up thousands of short, stateful jobs that require different architectural approaches than the long-lived services most cloud providers were designed to support, making Daytona's specialized infrastructure relevant as agent-based applications grow.
WHAT THE MONEY IS FOR
Daytona did not specify the precise use of the $60 million in the announcement. The capital will support the company's ongoing development and expansion of its agent-focused cloud platform.
How it compares
Larger than 79% of the 164 Series B rounds on the Mandos record since 2023.
