WHAT HAPPENED
Dragos acquired NetRise and runZero, two cybersecurity companies focused on operational technology environments. The acquisitions follow Accenture's majority investment in Dragos and Robert M. Lee's elevation to chairman and CEO.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Dragos, NetRise (founded by Thomas Pace and Michael Scott), runZero (led by HD Moore), and Accenture are the key parties. Dragos plans to hire over 100 new positions, with hundreds more expected to follow.
WHY IT MATTERS
The combined platform creates what Dragos calls the first end-to-end xOT cybersecurity solution, integrating asset exposure management, software vulnerability detection, and automated remediation for critical infrastructure systems. This consolidates visibility and protection across IT, IoT, and OT environments that control electric grids, water systems, refineries, and other essential services.
