Introducing AURI: Security Intelligence for AI Coding Agents and Developers

WHAT HAPPENED
Endor Labs launched AURI, a security intelligence product designed to detect and prevent vulnerabilities introduced by AI coding agents and developers before code merges into repositories. The product aims to shift security intervention earlier in the development process by catching vulnerable packages and insecure patterns at the moment they are selected or generated.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Endor Labs, a cybersecurity company, developed and introduced AURI. Varun Badhwar, an executive at Endor Labs, announced the product on LinkedIn during Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
WHY IT MATTERS
Traditional application security focuses on fixing vulnerabilities after they exist, creating a growing remediation backlog as AI generates code faster than teams can remediate it. AURI addresses this by preventing new vulnerabilities from entering code in the first place, allowing security teams to measure both how quickly they fix existing risk and how often new risk gets introduced.
