Fable Security Launches Vishing Simulations for Voice-Based Social Engineering Testing
Published 29 October 2026
WHAT HAPPENED
Fable Security launched vishing simulations, a product for testing voice-based social engineering attacks. The tool places authorized AI calls to targeted lines like service desks, accounts payable, and executive assistants using pretexts based on real attacks.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Fable Security built and launched the product. Co-founders Nicole and Sanny Liao are leading the effort and hosting a live webinar on November 17 to discuss the new wave of social engineering.
HOW IT WORKS
Fable makes AI-generated calls to chosen departments and records whether employees comply with the attacker's requests. If someone fails the test, the caller immediately reveals it is a simulation and coaches them on proper verification steps. Each call receives a grade against the organization's verification policy and generates a full transcript, with struggling employees targeted for follow-up training.
WHY IT MATTERS
Most security teams cannot confidently say whether their help desk would reset MFA for a caller impersonating a coworker. Vishing simulations let organizations measure real vulnerabilities in voice-based social engineering defenses and show leadership whether employees maintain verification discipline over repeated tests.
THE DEAL
Fable offers demo videos and demo requests on its website at fablesecurity.com/vishing/demo-request/ for organizations interested in building their first vishing campaign.
