IBM Acquires Logiq Consulting to Expand Secure Digital Transformation and Cybersecurity Capabilities in the UK

WHAT HAPPENED
IBM acquired Logiq Consulting, a UK-based cybersecurity consultancy, on September 24, 2026. Logiq specializes in cybersecurity assurance, Secure by Design, secure systems engineering, and managed services for Defence, Critical National Infrastructure, and Public Sector clients.
WHO IS INVOLVED
IBM Consulting acquired Logiq Consulting, which will integrate with SiXworks, another IBM subsidiary. Rhodri Arrowsmith leads IBM Consulting in UK & Ireland, Mark Hughes leads IBM Consulting Cybersecurity Services globally, and James Morgan is CEO of Logiq Consulting.
WHY IT MATTERS
The acquisition expands IBM's cybersecurity capabilities for UK regulated sectors and government clients while combining IBM's hybrid cloud and AI expertise with Logiq's specialization in Defence and Critical National Infrastructure.
