Risk X Group acquires Wolfpack Information Risk to create Africa's cyber security powerhouse

WHAT HAPPENED
Risk X Group acquired Wolfpack Information Risk, a cyber risk advisory and threat intelligence firm founded in 2011. The combined entity now offers governance, offensive security, threat intelligence, managed detection and response, and security awareness services across southern Africa.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Risk X Group, a Cape Town-based cybersecurity firm with offices in Johannesburg and Durban, acquired Wolfpack Information Risk founded by Craig Rosewarne, who joins RXG as Chief Solutions Officer. CEO Andrew Dalrymple leads the combined operation.
WHY IT MATTERS
The acquisition creates an end-to-end security provider covering cyber risk assessment, advisory, penetration testing, and 24/7 threat monitoring—capabilities few African firms can match. Wolfpack clients retain their existing relationships while gaining access to RXG's broader service portfolio and operational infrastructure.
