SentinelOne Participates in OpenAI's Daybreak Defense Network, Tests GPT-6 Cyber
Published 6 November 2026
WHAT HAPPENED
SentinelOne announced it is participating in OpenAI's Daybreak Defense Network and testing GPT-6 Cyber, a new frontier AI model designed for security research. The company has been an active member of the program, helping to test, benchmark, and shape the latest Astra-class models. GPT-6 Cyber is now available to select Daybreak Red customers, with OpenAI expanding access over time.
WHO IS INVOLVED
SentinelOne is the primary participant, with Chris Corde serving as Chief Product Officer. OpenAI developed and is distributing GPT-6 Cyber. Other security teams using the model include those at Mozilla, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, and Calif.
HOW IT WORKS
GPT-6 Cyber pairs stronger capabilities with better model alignment to advance security research. The model helps researchers connect scattered clues to understand how attacks could work, test hypotheses, and uncover weaknesses that require deeper investigation. SentinelOne researchers use it to expand their analytical capacity and convert their findings into improved protection for customers.
WHY IT MATTERS
The model accelerates security research by automating the difficult work of pattern recognition and hypothesis testing. For SentinelOne and other security vendors, GPT-6 Cyber enables researchers to identify vulnerabilities more efficiently and translate those discoveries into better defenses. The advancement addresses a fundamental bottleneck in security research: connecting disparate threat signals into actionable intelligence.
THE DEAL
GPT-6 Cyber is available to select Daybreak Red customers initially, with OpenAI planning to expand access over time. No pricing terms were disclosed in the announcement.
