Tailscale partners with Speakeasy to secure MCP servers on tailnet

WHAT HAPPENED
Tailscale partnered with Speakeasy to move enterprise MCP servers off the public internet onto a tailnet. The Speakeasy MCP gateway now runs as a node on the tailnet, and admins can connect in under ten minutes.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Tailscale and Speakeasy are the two companies building this integration together. Tailscale handles network security while Speakeasy governs what agents can do on the network.
WHY IT MATTERS
This eliminates the need to expose MCP servers publicly, closing security gaps by routing all agent tool calls through authenticated Tailscale users and devices. Enterprises gain both network control and agent governance without complex setup.
