Introducing Eon Yukon: a high-performance data layer for analytics, applications, and AI agents
Published 5 November 2026
WHAT HAPPENED
Eon launched Eon Yukon, a fully managed data platform that combines ingestion, processing, table maintenance, querying, and real-time serving into a single engine. The product handles continuous data optimization as information arrives without requiring complex pipelines and serves live aggregates with sub-millisecond reads.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Eon.io developed Eon Yukon. The company's team includes Ofir Ehrlich and Omer Niv, based on comments from people familiar with the company.
HOW IT WORKS
Eon Yukon ingests and processes data as it arrives, continuously maintains tables and aggregates, and runs serverless SQL queries over open Iceberg tables in cloud environments. The platform provides AI agents with context through Model Context Protocol before their first query and delivers live aggregates with sub-millisecond response times. In benchmark tests, Eon Yukon used roughly four times less ingestion compute than Spark and seven times less than Flink while maintaining the same correctness and data freshness.
WHY IT MATTERS
The platform reduces infrastructure costs and complexity by eliminating the need for complex data pipelines while keeping data fresh and ready for AI applications. Companies can now access optimized data with minimal computational overhead, making it practical to get maximum value from their data estates without expensive infrastructure overhead.
PRODUCT DETAILS
Eon Yukon handles data ingestion, processing, optimization, table maintenance, SQL querying, and real-time serving in one managed system. The product supports open Iceberg table formats and works with cloud storage environments, offering serverless query capabilities and sub-millisecond reads for live aggregates.
