Overwatch Data raises $15m to fight AI-scale cyber attacks

Overwatch Data closed a $15 million Series A funding round on October 27, 2026. Mouro Capital led the investment, with Visa Ventures and Capital One Ventures joining as strategic backers, and PruVen Capital and New Era Capital Partners returning with follow-on investments.

WHAT THE COMPANY DOES

Overwatch Data is an AI-native threat intelligence and risk operations firm that helps cyber, fraud and risk teams respond to attacks. The platform uses AI agents to gather adversarial signals from multiple sources, filter irrelevant data, link patterns across different sources, and guide investigations to suggested decisions with supporting evidence. The system improves through a shared knowledge base as more customers use it.

WHO INVESTED

Mouro Capital led the Series A round. Strategic investors Visa Ventures and Capital One Ventures joined, while returning investors PruVen Capital and New Era Capital Partners made follow-on investments.

WHAT THE MONEY IS FOR

Overwatch Data will use the capital to expand its AI agents into more stages of the risk lifecycle, including ongoing monitoring, investigations into criminal underground activity, merchant onboarding and due diligence. The company is also adding staff in engineering, investigations and sales.

WHY IT MATTERS

AI has lowered the cost of attacks and made them quicker and more frequent, while risk teams often operate manually and in silos, seeing only partial views of attacker activity. FBI figures show US cybercrime losses reached $20.9 billion in 2025, a 26% increase year-over-year. Overwatch Data helps teams move from reactive triage to proactive operations that scale, with one regional bank client reporting six times as many critical threats detected and analysts saving over 20 hours per week on manual work.

PREVIOUS EXECUTIVES

Overwatch Data hired Jeff Needham to lead go-to-market efforts. Needham previously served as Chief Risk Officer at Flashpoint and Intel 471.
