Snyk Launches Evo Agentic AppSec: AI Security Agents for Vulnerability Detection, Remediation, and Prevention

WHAT HAPPENED
Snyk launched Evo Agentic AppSec, a suite of AI security agents that automatically finds, fixes, and blocks vulnerabilities in code. The product includes five components: Code Scanning Agent, Dependency Firewall, Security Review agent, Remediation Agent, and Secrets Detection, with the Remediation Agent successfully shipping fixes 90% of the time on open source dependency issues.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Snyk developed and released Evo Agentic AppSec to its customers, who have experienced a 10x increase in critical and high-severity issues over the past year.
WHY IT MATTERS
Security agents can write and fix code faster than human teams can review it, and Evo's independent verification of each agent's results addresses the need to keep pace with the volume of vulnerabilities appearing in modern software development.
