Wellington's SSS partners with Palo Alto Networks for managed security services

WHAT HAPPENED
Wellington-based managed security service provider Scientific Software and Systems launched a managed security offering built on Palo Alto Networks' Cortex XDR, Cortex XSIAM, and Prisma Access platforms. SSS joined Palo Alto Networks' NextWave partner program and combined the vendor's technology with its own local security operations centre services.
WHO IS INVOLVED
Scientific Software and Systems, founded in 1985, partners with Palo Alto Networks. SSS operates from Wellington and Auckland offices. Palo Alto Networks head of ecosystems and enterprise for New Zealand is Vasely Sapunov.
WHY IT MATTERS
New Zealand public sector and mid-market organisations often run fragmented security tools with gaps between them that create risk. This partnership lets customers consolidate onto a single platform while maintaining local support and operations from a New Zealand SOC, addressing resource constraints and operational complexity.
