Company news
WHAT HAPPENED
Serval raised $150 million in Series C funding at a $3 billion valuation, led by Sequoia Capital. The round brings total funding to $277 million and includes participation from existing investors Elad Gil, Evantic, First Round, General Catalyst, and Redpoint, plus new investors Conviction and Headline. This is Serval's third funding round in 12 months, following a $75 million Series B in December 2025 and a Series A in October 2025.
WHAT THE COMPANY DOES
Serval is an AI-native enterprise service management platform that automates work across departments like IT, HR, Finance, Security, and Legal. The company has built Catalyst, an AI agent that lets non-engineers automate tasks without coding knowledge. Serval customers include Fox Corporation, WPP, Live Nation, and Ramp, and the company has doubled annual recurring revenue each quarter since its Series B.
WHO INVESTED
Sequoia Capital led the round. Existing investors participating include Elad Gil, Evantic, First Round, General Catalyst, and Redpoint. New investors Conviction and Headline also joined the funding round.
WHAT THE MONEY IS FOR
Serval will use the capital to expand Catalyst and launch ProServal, a professional services arm that will place more than 100 Automation Engineers inside large enterprises to redesign how organizations operate. The company plans to hire over 500 people across all functions and open new offices in New York City, London, Austin, and other cities.
WHY IT MATTERS
Serval is directly competing with legacy platform ServiceNow by taking over enterprise customers and their critical workflows. Large enterprises are moving to full rip-and-replace migrations from ServiceNow to Serval, including an auto manufacturer that completed the transition in 45 days. The company is pioneering the role of Automation Engineer, bringing AI-native builders into enterprises to redesign processes from the ground up.
THE DEAL
Serval raised $150 million at a $3 billion post-money valuation, bringing total funding to $277 million.
How it compares
